REFUND, RETURNS & EXCHANGE
Policies Our return and exchange policies differ depending on whether the item purchased was new or Pre-Owned.

NEW ITEMS:

Return and/or Exchange
If you aren't completely satisfied with your purchase of a new item from Fintek, you may exchange or return it for a full refund within 15 days from the date the item is delivered to you, as long as it can be returned to us in sellable condition - that is, unused, clean, undamaged, all packaging intact, warranty card not filled out. In short, it needs to be in the same condition as it was when you received it.

If you would like to Return a new item:

  • Write a note explaining why you would like to return the item.
  • Please include your invoice or sales order number along with your name and contact information, and include these with your package.
  • Securely package and ship the product back to us - the address is provided below. Please note that Fintek will not pay for return shipping. We highly recommend shipment using a service which is tracked and insured.
  • If the item passes our inspection after receipt, a full refund for the original sale value (not including any shipping) will be credited to your method of payment.
  • Items that have been used or deemed "unsaleable" after an evaluation of condition will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and qualify for store credit only.


If you would like to Exchange a new item:

  • Write a note explaining why you would like to exchange the item. Please include your invoice or sales order number along with your name and contact information, and include these with your package.
  • Identify the product you’d like to have in exchange for the product you’re returning. If the product you desire is out of stock, we’ll contact you and work out a satisfactory arrangement.
  • Securely package and ship the product back to us - the address is provided below. Please note that Fintek will not pay for return shipping. We highly recommend shipment using a service which is tracked and insured.
  • If the item passes our inspection after receipt, we’ll process the exchange and send the new product to your address.
  • Items that have been used or deemed "unsaleable" after an evaluation of condition will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and qualify for store credit only.


PRE-OWNED Items:
Pre-Owned items do not qualify for returns (due various reasons), mostly because of price fluctuations, demand/supply etc.. However if there was an error on our part e.g product was listed as a 4wt but you received a 7wt, or color was noted as red but you received blue, qualify to be exceptions for returns... Some other exclusions apply - please see below.

RETURN / EXCHANGE EXCEPTIONS:

Final Sale
All the following are considered Final Sale items and CANNOT be returned, exchanged or refunded:

    • Pre-Owned items
    • Shipping Fees
    • Custom rigging fees
    • Purchases made on eBay
    • Items on sale for more than 25% off
    • Items listed in our site as Final Sale
    • Fly lines that have been taken off the factory spooling.
    • Items that have been rigged or mounted onto a fly reel. This includes fly lines, backing, leaders, etc.

Further Exceptions
Reels that have been spooled with backing and a fly line (or just backing) are subject to a 25% restocking fee. This means that if the price of the reel is $100, you will only receive $75 back.If you return an order that comes with a free gift (like a free fly line or backing), you must also return the gift. If we don't receive it, we will refund you for the items returned less the full retail value of the gift.

SHIPPING POLICIES:
The customer is responsible for any mistakes made regarding addresses on both online and phone orders. An invoice is e-mailed immediately at the time the order is placed; it is the customer's responsibility to verify the shipping information and contact us immediately if any corrections are necessary.

Fintek is not responsible for theft of any packages tracked and delivered to the address on the order. Any claims for loss need to be made by the customer with the courier. In the event an order is returned to Fintek by the carrier for any reason, it is the customer's responsibility to pay the original shipping cost. In other words, Fintek will NOT provide free shipping twice.

Proof of Purchase is required for all returns, so please include a copy of your original invoice along with any items being returned for refund or exchange. If you return a product in unsellable condition, we will ship the product back to you and you will NOT receive a refund.
